Sub Pop Records is offering $13,000 worth of college scholarship money to three eligible high school seniors. There are three separate scholarships -- one for $6,000 and two for $3,500. First, you have to live in Washington or Oregon. Second, be a graduating senior planning to enroll as a full-time student at an accredited university or college. And last, Sub Pop is searching for applicants who are interested in music and/or the creative arts.
 
To apply for these scholarships please submit an essay, no longer than a page, letting them know about the following topics:
 
•    What are you doing in the arts/music field in your community?
•    How and/or why did you become interested in artistic outlets?
•    Why do you need this scholarship money?
•    What are your influences and/or who inspires you?
•    Who are some of your favorite bands or artists?

Applicants can also send digital links and/or hard copies of artwork along with their essay, but don't send the originals because the label will not return them. The deadline for applications is May 1. Send submissions to scholarship@subpop.com, or go to subpop.com for more info.
