Albert Hammond Jr. Wants to Know Your Name

Albert Hammond, Jr.Albert Hammond, Jr., along with band mates Matt Romano, Marc Philippe Eskenazi and Josh Lattanzi, return with ¿Cómo Te Llama? on July 8. According to a recent press release, The Strokes guitarist and Romano came up with the album title out of "casual conversation." How relaxing.

The album was recorded at Electric Lady Studios with Hammond, engineer Gus Oberg and drummer Romano. Reportedly, ¿Cómo Te Llama? is a mature step for the band and includes a string quartet on multiple tracks, plus Sean Lennon playing piano on "Spooky Couch."

No tour dates have been announced, but they're coming soon. Meanwhile, feast your eyes on the track list and try to decide if "G Up" is an ode to Snoop Dogg or Cameo.
