We dropped some news about The Hold Steady's new album, Stay Positive, a few weeks back. Well, in a new post on Pitchfork, the band has announced that it will be touring for its forthcoming album -- and will release the effort's first single next week.

"Sequestered in Memphis," the first single from Stay Positive, will be available as a digital download Tuesday on iTunes. A few days later, the group make "The Great Escape" to Brighton, England, for said festival. And, in a rather odd choice for a tour stop, Chula Vista, California, residents may experience their first taste of what indie-rock looks like at the 94.9 Independence Jam. More shows in North America and Europe will follow those dates into August.
