L.A. Spotlight: The Henry Clay People

The Henry Clay People.jpgThis week's installment features a band of brothers who not only share genes, they also dig The Replacements and Pavement. The Henry Clay People has been unleashing its blistering rock montage for a few years now, and their recent adoration from critics and fellow artists is no surprise to fans.

it's difficult to find someone who dosn't like, or at least respect, The Henry Clay People. The group has spent the last year supporting a myriad of bands on the east side, playing SXSW and released what is probably their best song to date, "Working Part Time." The track's fierce guitar onslaught is too contagious to deny as singer-guitarist Joey Siara wails in a detached, yet forceful, tone. The release follows the path of the band's debut album, Blacklist the kid with the Red Mustache, only the confidence and energy level gets kicked-up a notch.
