Guitars, loops and synths hold hands -- creating an epic template of glossy ambience on Belong's cover of Syd Barrett's "Late Night."
 
This amazing track comes from the limited edition (250 vinyl-only) Colorloss Record EP that came out earlier this year through St. Ives. It's a collection of covers manipulated into what sounds like a propulsion testing site at the bottom of the ocean. 

I always wished a band like M83 would get as far out of its mind as these kids do, so they could construct something more introverted and surreal. The scratchy, lo-fi vocals are a nice addition too -- very distant and hypnotic. The group, reportedly, have a new full-length due this year ... they better.
