After thirty years, the dark one continues to push the Cure into our culture's consciousness with more albums and festival appearances each year. But Robert Smith wasn't always the leader of The Cure. In fact, he spent a few years playing guitar for one the U.K.'s seminal punk bands.Robert Smith played 'double-duty' as guitarist for The Cure and this highly influential group:
a) Joy Division
b) Siouxsie and the Banshees
c) The Sex Pistols

its siouxsie and the banshees of course! poor guy, he was so stressed out during that tour, but he didnt want to let the banshees down. he was in fact still leader of the cure during the time, but touring for both band bands left him utterly exhausted and he told severin he wouldnt be able to do the US tour, finishing the UK leg would be another story.
steve severin and him also created the glove - andy anderson (cure drummer at the time), played in it too. and porl also contributed too.
