Why hasn't someone already put together a calender of the most
beautiful women in Indie music? Well, we're not sure -- it's not taboo or in bad taste to recognize physical beauty, or is it? Here's our top ten drop-dead gorgeous, and musically superior, women of
indie music.
1. Chan Marshall (Cat Power)Glowing face, girl next-door looks and a soothing voice. placing Chan at the number one spot was a no-brainer.
2. Annie
Norwegian pop goddess Annie writes catchy numbers that are nearly impossible not to like, and she's also a stone-cold fox.
3. Sharin Foo (The Raveonettes)
This Danish princess of noise-pop radiates waves of distorted guitar, sugar-coated vocals and natural beauty.
4. Katrina Kerns (ex-Sufjan Stevens, solo artist)
Katrina used to play in Sufjan's backing band, and is a former Ford model -- we're not surprised.
5. Mariqueen Maandig (West Indian Girl)
Whoa. Not many people give West Indian Girl a lot of credit, but here's another reason why you should check out the band at Bumbershoot Festival this summer.
6. Zooey Deschanel (She and Him)
I don't think anyone's going to disagree that Zooey Deschanel is a stunning young woman.
7. Lisa Fendelander (Sea Wolf)
Soccer Mom's everywhere caught on to Sea Wolf's dynamite single "You're a Wolf," but here's one good reason why guys need to start following the band.

We couldn't break-up this power trio, especially when they're as smokin' hot as these three Brooklynites.
9. Rose "Rosay" Dougall (ex-Pipettes, solo artist)
Rosay was always the best-looking Pipette in the group. She's currently working on new material as a solo artist, and it sounds nothing like you'd expect.
10. Emily Haines (Metric, Broken Social Scene)
Sweet-talkin' pop star -- kind of a bad girl -- sultry good looks ... Yikes!
